ON-SITE PROGRAMS


DISCOVERY LABS


GRADES: Pre-K

TIMES:
M–F  9:30–10 a.m. and 10–10:30 a.m.
11:15–11:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
1–1:30 p.m. and 1:30–2 p.m.
DURATION: 30 minutes

FEES:
October–January $65 for up to 20 students; Aquarium admission included with program fee February–June $84 for up to 20 students;
Aquarium admission included with program fee

CAPACITY:
Grade Pre-K: 20 students maximum

CHAPERONES:
One teacher/adult chaperone required per 2 students; Additional chaperones at $11 each. Max 10 chaperones in classroom.

PROGRAM:
Meet & Greet the Sea

GRADES: K-12

TIMES:
M–F (9:30–10:30 a.m.; 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m.; 1–2 p.m.)
DURATION:
K–1 Discovery Lab programs run 45 minutes in length
2–12 Discovery Lab programs run 60 minutes in length

FEES:
October–January $130 for up to 20 students;
$6.50 for each additional student
Aquarium admission included with program fee.

February–June $165 for up to 20 students;
$8.25 for each additional student
Aquarium admission included with program fee.

CAPACITY:
Grades K–3: 25 students maximum, 20 students minimum
Grades 4–12: 35 students maximum, 20 students minimum

AQUARIUM EXPLORATIONS

SELF-GUIDED VISITS

GRADES: All grades*

TIMES:Daily by reservation only

FEES:
September–January $5 for each student
February–August $6 for each student

CAPACITY:
Due to capacity constraints, groups will be assigned first available admission time.  Sixty students are allowed entrance at one time. If your group is larger than 60, we will ask that you divide the group and separate their arrival times by thirty minutes.

CHAPERONES:
One teacher/adult chaperone required per 5 students;
Additional chaperones at $11 each

* For play groups and other organizations with parent/toddler participation, adults are $8.50 each and children age 2 and under are free.
 

OFF-SITE PROGRAMS



AQUARIUM EXPRESS

GRADE: Pre-K


TIMES:
25 minutes per program (booked two at a time)

FEES*:
September–January $170 for two programs; additional blocks of
two are $150. Maximum of six programs per day.

February–August $200 for two programs; additional blocks of
two are $180. Maximum of six programs per
day.

CAPACITY:
20 students per program, no maximum/minimum

CHAPERONES:
At the school location, at least one supervisory teacher or adult chaperone acting as supervisor, must be present in the room at all times.

*An additional fee will be charged for sites more than 30 miles away from the aquarium.


GRADES: K–12


TIMES:
55 minutes per program

FEES*:
September–January $170; additional programs are $150 each when scheduled for the same day. Maximum of four programs per day.

February–August $200; additional programs are $180 each when scheduled for the same day. Maximum of four programs per day.

CAPACITY:
Grades K–2: 25 students, no maximum/minimum
Grades 3–12: 35 students, no maximum/minimum

CHAPERONES:
At the school location, at least one supervisory teacher or adult chaperone acting as supervisor, must be present in the room at all times.

BEACH TEACH

GRADES: 1–12


TIMES: Two-hour program at the tide pool or beach, tide dependent. Please call for available dates.

FEES:
October–January $7.50 per student

February–June $9.25 per student

Purchase aquarium admission at a discounted rate of $5 per student when booked with a Beach Teach. Admission to aquarium is valid only on day of scheduled program.

CAPACITY: 40 students maximum, 20 students minimum
