Wonders of Water
Wonders of Water
Make a Splash! Roll up your sleeves and experience rippling, streaming water in three, outdoor waterplay stations. Build dams and create rapids. Design watersheds, but watch out for floods and landslides! Imaginations will overflow as guests of all ages explore water, a powerful force influenced by nature and people.
Playing is learning. No matter how young, visitors of all ages have a positive learning experience from their interactions with the Wonders of Water playstations.
Pile up sand or dig a river in WATERSHED WAY, which demonstrates how a watershed is an area of land that drains into a stream or river, and finally into a lake or the ocean. Every neighborhood is part of a watershed, and everything in a watershed is connected by the flow of water.
Remove and replace panels centered around a landmass in CURRENT TRENDS, demonstrating how currents can move around the globe, carry pollutants far from their sources, and how landmasses can change the speed and direction of ocean currents.
Explore how moving water is a powerful force in GO WITH THE FLOW by altering panels that control the speed of water. People for thousands of years have harnessed the energy of water.
